Bat tested positive for rabies after biting woman in leg
A woman visiting from Florida was bit by a bat while whitewater rafting in Cocke County on August 10. According to the Tennessee Department of Health, the woman captured the bat after it bit her on the leg and took it to the health department where it tested positive for rabies.
